Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Unworn and unused

  • In the same condition you received it

  • With original tags attached

  • In its original packaging

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Returns must be approved before being sent. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Returns due to damage, defects, or incorrect items are free of charge.

  • For all other approved returns, a $8.95 flat return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.

  • We provide the return shipping label to ensure proper tracking and delivery.

We do not charge restocking fees.


Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery.
If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can resolve the issue promptly.

Failure to report damages within 48 hours may result in the claim being denied.


Order Processing & Cancellations

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Because we process orders quickly to avoid shipping delays, cancellation requests must be submitted within 2 hours of purchase. After this window, we cannot guarantee cancellation.

If your order has already been processed or shipped, it must go through our standard return procedure.


Exchanges

The fastest way to receive a different item is to return your original item (if eligible) and place a new order once your return is approved.


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on:

  • Gift cards

  • Final sale items

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Personalized or custom items

  • Personal care goods

  • Hazardous materials

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days without justification. Items must be returned unworn, unused, with tags, and in original packaging.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of approval status.
If approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Banks and credit card companies may require additional processing time.

  • If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us at support@thesmartwanderer.com.


Chargeback & Fraud Prevention

By completing a purchase with The Smart Wanderer, you agree to this Return & Refund Policy.

We encourage customers to contact us directly for resolution before initiating a chargeback. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that violate this policy or where proof of delivery and policy acknowledgment are available.
